Birmingham Royal Ballet has announced its programme for this year’s #WorldBalletDay 2021, the eighth annual World Ballet Day on 19 October.

The company will run four different streams throughout the day for audiences worldwide in Australia, Japan, the UK and the Americas. Highlights will include streamed performances of Burning Building, a dance film by Javier De Frutos featuring dancers Sofia Liñares and Shuailun Wu, and Freefall Dance Company’s Stepping Up, Stepping Out, which was created during lockdown via Zoom, interviews and rehearsals with dancers, and a first look at the company’s future digital offerings.

All of this is available on Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
