Financially disadvantaged young people aged between 8 and 21 from the areas surrounding Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay can apply for support from the Marlowe Theatre Development Trust to join the venue's youth theatre.

The Marlowe Youth Theatre, which has Canterbury born actor Orlando Bloom as its Patron, has junior, apprentice and senior companies, spanning the age range of 8 to 21.

Youth Theatre members take part in the theatre’s annual community production and can audition for professional work both at the Marlowe and at other venues.

This year's community production, Stacked!, will be performed on the main stage for the first time.

Applicants to The Marlowe Youth Theatre Bursary Fund should refer to the detailed information on the theatre's web site. The deadline for submitting applications is 17 July.
