That’s Not Funny, a comedy about mental health is fund-raiser on 28 February

A Ship of Fools Theatre Company is to present a comedy titled That’s Not Funny for one night at the Hackney Attic on 28 February.

Proceeds from the production of this work that uses physical theatre, bouffon, clown and mime techniques to look at depression, moods and anxiety will go to Hackney Mind.

A Ship of Fools' Mark Winstanley and Charles Shetcliffe direct a cast composed of Atilla Akinci, Simon Brown, Marianne Da Costa, Holli Dillon, Lisa Hayes, Eve Fehilly, Derbyshire, Samuel Russell, Lauren Silver and Oli Weatherley.

Winstanley said, “through That's Not Funny, I wanted to find the funny about our experiences with mental health and sharing that with an audience. If we can connect with a few people so that next time the darkness comes knocking they can laugh at it rather than run and hide from it then this bunch of beautiful idiots will have done its job.”

Tickets for That’s Not Funny are available online.
