Half Term Children's Festival - Rumpelstiltskin is at the Marlowe

During this month's half term break, The Marlowe Studio and nearby art museum and library The Beaney will be hosting Canterbury's first Children’s Festival.

Performances at the Marlowe cover a range of ages and include Hiccup Theatre’s Rumpelstiltskin which is suitable for children aged five and over and Comedy 4 Kids which is suitable for ages six to 11.

The workshops at both venues similarly cover a variety of areas for different ages such as roleplaying, storytelling, dressing up and there is a puppet-making workshop for children up to the age of 12.

The Marlowe’s Head of Creative Projects, Danny Lipman, has said of the week's events “We want to show children that theatres and museums aren’t boring places you get dragged along to by school, but actually places where you can play and have a good time.”

Canterbury Children’s Festival runs from 28 to 31 May. All tickets are £5 (or free). For further information and booking visit marlowetheatre.com
