Members of the public can join West End performers for a charity carol singing event on 20 December taking place outside the Leicester Square TKTS booth.

The West End Gospel Choir, a London-based collective of musical theatre professionals, will lead the singing while collection buckets circulate. The charity to benefit from this event is the Sir Simon Milton Foundation, which works to tackle unemployment, support young people and look after the elderly in the borough of Westminster.

The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Sarah Richardson, said: “As we approach 25 December, nothing epitomises the spirit of Christmas more than people singing carols together, and this event provides a wonderful opportunity for Londoners and visitors alike to raise their voices alongside some of the stars of the West End.

"I would like to thank the Society of London Theatre for their generosity in organising this event to raise funds for the Sir Simon Milton Foundation—a charity I am proud to support.”

The TKTS Christmas Carol Singing Concert takes place on 20 December 2013 between 4 and 5 o'clock. The event is free and unticketed.
