The Static

Coming to Liverpool Unity Theatre October 23 and Manchester Contact Theatre, on October 24-25, The Static is described as a very Carrie-like show about telekinesis set in a Scottish school.

It’s on tour around England throughout this month and is in London at the Albany on October 9 and 10 and at Riverside Studios on October 19 and 20. It was very well received at the Edinburgh fringe back in August by audiences and some key critics (four stars from both Joyce McMillan of The Scotsman and four stars from Mary Brennan of The Herald, but three stars from BTG's Philip Fisher).

The play is centered on Sparky, a bright but volatile 15-year-old, written off at school as a disruptive influence and lost cause. When he falls in love with classmate Siouxsie his thoughts become telekinetic.
