Susan Stroman's production of the musical Crazy for You, with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin, will play at Chichester's Festival Theatre from 11 July to 4 September.
Choreography is also by Susan Stroman, set design by Beowulf Boritt, costumes by William Ivey Long, lighting by Ken Billington, musical direction by Alan Williams and sound design by Kai Harads, with new orchestrations by Doug Besterman and Mark Cumberland.
Charlie Stemp (as Bobby Child) and Carly Anderson (Polly Baker) will lead the cast accompanied by Marc Akinfolarin, Lila Anderson, Merryl Ansah, Simon Anthony, Craig Bartley, Jason Battersby, Evonnee Bentley-Holder, Imogen Bowtell, Kyle Cox, Matthew Craig, Bethan Downing, Jaquie Dubois, Nicholas Duncan,Tom Edden, Nathan Elwick, Don Gallagher, Adrian Grove, Laura Hills, Ryan Jupp, Matthew Malthouse, Nell Martin, Joshua Nkemdilim, Kate Parr, Sadie-Jean Shirley, Gay Soper, Bradley Trevethan, Ella Valentine and Tara Yasmin.
The musical is packed with Gershwin melodies and tap dance routines. Book and dialogue are written by Ken Ludwig who also wrote this season's Murder on the Orient Express.
