There are not one but two festivals in the new season at Camden People's Theatre.
The first is the return of Sprint which showcases new work from emerging, rising and established artists with award-winning Scottee, headlining the first week with Bravado.
New festival Hotbed: a festival of sex is an exploration of sex. Running over three weeks, it includes the première of Oh Yes Oh No, the new show from Louise Orwin.
There are also two new projects and two new commissions. Associate artists Sh!t Theatre celebrates Dolly Parton in work-in-progress Dollywould and Jamal Harewood presents Word using the structure of a game show to look at the power of language.
The two commissioned shows are both LGBTQ+ themed. Tom Marshman’s Kings Cross (Remix) and work-in-progress sharing from Milk Presents, Bullish, about gender identity.
The London première of Jenna Watt’s Fringe First Award-winning Faslane, The Class Project, and Subika Anwar’s Divided about domestic violence and segregation are also highlights of the programme which runs as follows:
