Cumbernauld Theatre's new season

Glasgow Celtic win the European Cup in Our Way to Lisbon - part of the new season at Cumbernauld Theatre

The new season at North Lanarkshire's Cumbernauld Theatre starts at the end of this month with Dead Sheep Comedy Club and runs through to Christmas Eve.

Amongst the wide–ranging selection of events on offer is a theatre programme including a contemporary sex comedy written by Liz Lochhead, What Goes Around, Solar Bear's poignant yet biting drama Tribes, Our Way to Lisbon about Glasgow Celtic winning the European Cup and The Bridge based on the life and lost work of poet and author Paduthottu John.

The Christmas show is Sleeping Beauty with How to Be a Christmas Tree specially developed for the under-fives.

Other family events include Purves Puppets’ Pips and Panda Meet the Three Bears and My Friend Selma.

Alongside these events, the theatre's range of community activities continues including Cumbernauld Youth Theatre, the adult drama group, the writers group and the Studio Arts Forum for older people.
