Leicester’s Curve theatre is to share online for free an archive recording of its production of Riaz Khan’s Memoirs of an Asian Football Casual.
Dougal Irvine’s adaptation of Khan’s book played at Curve in 2018. Memoirs of an Asian Football Casual tells Khan's colourful account of growing up as the son of strict Pakistani parents in the multi-cultural city of Leicester. Khan becomes involved in the football “casual” culture and joins Leicester's infamous “firm” of football hooligans, the Baby Squad.
Jay Varsani and Hareet Deol are the cast of the two-hander which was directed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster.
The production will be uploaded at 7PM on Friday 27 March and will be available for one week at the Curve web site.
