Louise Dearman will lead the cast of a new musical inspired by Charles Kingsley’s novel The Water Babies which premières at Leicester’s Curve.
The first actress to play both Glinda and Elphaba in the musical Wicked, Dearman will make her Curve debut playing Mrs D.
She will shortly release her third album, In Time and will be undertaking her first solo UK tour in February, March and April.
Directed by Ed Curtis, with music by Chris Egan and book and lyrics by Ed Curtis and Guy Jones, The Water Babies previews at Curve from 24 April and opens on 6 May. It runs until 17 May.
