A new theatre/dance crossover show takes a different approach to domestric abuse—and is performed by women who themselves have survived abusive relationships. Additionally, it leaves a legacy of support for victims at every venue it visits.

Smack That (a conversation) is set in a party at which all the audience are guests—and everyone is called Beverly! It comes to The Lowry, Salford on May 11 as part of a UK tour following a three-week London run.

Creator Rhiannon Faith hopes it will help women who have suffered domestic violence and other forms of abuse to talk openly and frankly about their experiences and thus help all sufferers. You can see a short trailer on YouTube.
