Elmhurst Ballet School has confirmed its summer run of shows, including the streamed performance, will not go ahead this year.

As Birmingham is a COVID-19 'enhanced response area' and the shows were scheduled to take place in the Elmhurst theatre within the school complex, the company has stated that it has become increasingly difficult to safely present the performances of Proxemics and Elevate.

After months of online learning due to Government guidelines and school closures, three lockdowns and three returns to some sort of normality, the school’s summer term 2021 will now come to an end.

Although the school is unable to showcase the talents of its students, it says that it is determined to find ways to present these new in the near future.
