There is a rare opportunity on 12 December to hear one of Japan's outstanding contemporary playwrights, Tomohiro Maekawa, talk about his work after a reading of his award-winning, science fiction story, The Sun.

This is the first time the work will be heard in English; the translation is by James Yaegashi and it will be directed by Tanja Pagnuco.

The Sun is a futuristic sci-fi thriller set in the period following a bio-terrorist attack. It explores societal inequalities, humanity and survival through its story of a decimated population divided between the genetically superior Nox, and the weaker Curio.

This event takes place on 12 December at RADA and will be followed by a Q&A with Tomohiro Maekawa.
