Arbery Productions' première of The Satyricon has been announced for Festival Theatre Edinburgh's Studio this November, having previously been scheduled for June.

2,000-year-old comedy, The Satyricon, originally written in Latin by Gaius Petronius, is written by award-winning playwright Martin Foreman, who co-directs with Argentinian actor Junior Cross.

This outrageous first-century AD portrait of Roman society promises to be “fast and funny, filthy and philosophical” as it tells its story of three footloose young men, Encolpius, Ascyltos and Giton, and their adventures—expect seduction, deception, love and thievery.

The Satyricon is scheduled to take place at The Studio, Festival Theatre Edinburgh, previewing from 3 November, although the date may be subject to change due to the health crisis. Suitable for 16+ (contains strong language and frequent sexual references).
