The world première of Foreplay by scientist and playwright Carl Djerassi opens next month at the Kings Head Theatre.
This new play is a psycho-sexual thriller of betrayal and revenge looking at a the public and private side of a group of people in the public eye, what is erotic and what is pornographic, and the uneasy relationship between genius and hypocrisy.
As a scientist Carl Djerassi is best known for ‘the invention’ of the contraceptive pill; as a playwright his works include Insufficiency, Taboos, Phallacy and Three On a Couch. He has also published five novels, short stories, poetry, an autobiography and a memoir.
Foreplay is to be directed and produced by Andy Jordan. Casting is to be announced.
Foreplay opens at London's Kings Head Theatre on 30 April.
