Over two nights, Forest Fringe will be bringing to The Place the adventurous spirit that made their annual Edinburgh Festival venue such a much-loved space.

Co-curated by Forest Fringe and The Place, this project brings together artists from both communities to explore questions of movement, choreography and the body in performance.

Peter McMaster explores the tipping points between life and death as he approaches his 27th birthday, the age at which Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Brian Jones died.

Jo Fong invites the audience to become the performance in a playful, imaginative dance theatre production.

Brian Lobel leads an interactive dance lesson using his extensive experience as certified Israeli folk dance instructor. And Gillie Kleiman leads a dance class that wants to be a show.

There will be installations and experiments by Ant Hampton & Britt Hatzius, Andy Field and Nicola Conibere, Paper Stages and films by Amy Sharrocks.

An evening of performances, intimate encounters, installations, conversations and experiments will be filling all manner of spaces across the building.
