Two new festivals have been announced alongside a programme of innovative theatre for the winter 2012-13 season at Camden People's Theatre.

The first is Futureshock which runs from 28 November to 16 December featuring theatre, poetry, cabaret and ‘scratch’ nights, as new theatre artists present their visions of what is to come.

The second is a festival of stand up theatre, Beyond The Joke. Running from 8 to 27 January it looks at what happens when comics and theatre makers mix their talents.

The regular theatre programme continues and includes Total Theatre award-winners Beady Eye and Improbable. There is also a week-long exhibition and one-night theatre event looking at how a new high-speed rail link will affect the community around CPT, The HS2 Project.
