Manchester’s own Paul-Michael Jones, who has attracted acclaim on the tour, stars as Johnny Castle when Dirty Dancing—The Classic Story On Stage returns to the Palace Theatre next month.

The first ever UK tour opened in Bristol in September 2011, and has since broken box office records across the country, making it one of the most successful tours in UK history.

Paul-Michael takes on one of the most iconic roles, made famous by Patrick Swayze in the 1987 movie. He trained at Laine Theatre Arts, graduating in 2007 and theatre credits include Eddie in Mamma Mia!, understudying and performing Jake and Adrian in Never Forget, Jack in Jack & The Beanstalk and dance captain in Fame’s European tour. He has also represented England as a Latin American and ballroom dancer, at the World Championships in Singapore.

American performer Jill Winternitz stars as Baby.

It runs in Manchester from May 21 to June 15.
