New play In My Fathers Words opens on 19 June at the Tron Theatre Glasgow before a short run at Dundee Rep Theatre and a highland tour.
Part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme, the play concerns identity, nationality and language in its story of an elderly Scottish immigrant in Canada.
Penned by writer and broadcaster Justin Young, In My Father’s Words contains passages in Gaelic by Iain F MacLeod, which will be subtitled, and music composed by Jon Beales.
The play is directed by the artistic director of Dundee Rep Philip Howard, and the cast comprises Lewis Howard, Angus Peter Campbell and Muireann Kelly.
