Greenwich Dance has launched a new podcast designed for dance professionals, Talking Moves, in which the company’s director Melanie Precious interviews dance artists about their creative practice, experience and ideas.
The first episode is Staying Creative Through Covid featuring John Darvell and Emma Houston / BGirl Shortbread. Have they relished the opportunity to rethink their work amidst changing social behaviours? Or been weighed down by the pressures of diminished finances and cancelled contracts?
Together they discuss managing anxiety, funding rejections, the need to learn new skills and ‘positive rage’ but also the renewed sense of vigour they now have through new connections, new conversations and new possibilities.
