Home I'm Darling

A new co-production of Laura Wade’s comedy Home I’m Darling heads Bolton Octagon’s autumn programme.

The acclaimed National Theatre play (seen at The Lowry in Salford in 2019) takes a wry look in to the marital bliss of perfect couple Judy and John. But what happens when things begin to unravel? It’s a co-production with Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake and Stephen Joseph Theatre and runs here from September 1– October 2.

The Octagon will be flying audiences to Neverland in its festive production Peter Pan (November 26–January 9), in an update to its previously announced festive title. J M Barrie’s classic tale will be adapted for the stage by Sarah Punshon.

The Octagon launches a new monthly comedy night on the last Friday of each month (starting September 24) including Matt Richardson and Daliso Chaponda.

Before all that there’s a new free family festival over the August bank holiday weekend (August 27–29) taking place alongside Bolton’s Food & Drink Festival. The venue has been working with local families to co-design the event.
