In 2013, Fin Kennedy authored a report titled In Battalions. It was a response to then UK Culture Minister Ed Vaizey's assertion that Arts Council cuts were having "no effect" on new theatre writing.

A Delphi Study followed and its 36 proposals and how they could be progressed were the subject of an open meeting in November last year.

The plight of new theatre writing is no less current, and with the general election rapidly upon us Fin Kennedy is sending out a call to mobilise all theatre practitioners to lobby their MPs.

Kennedy's strategy for Operation Mobilise is outlined in detail on his blog, which also has useful links and a template letter available for use or adaptation to make it as easy as possible to engage theatre professionals across the country in a coordinated effort to get the issue in front of MPs.

The In Battalions Report, the Delphi Study and a British Theatre Guide podcast with Fin Kennedy are available for free download.

Since authoring In Battalions Fin Kennedy has been appointed artistic director of Tamasha Theatre.
