The full programme has been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival, which will take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Tickets will go on sale 9 May 2016.

Presented by dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, there will be screenings of more than 122 films including 11 world, 8 international, 4 European and 28 UK premières alongside classic films led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

Kingston is not only the base for BalletBoyz but was also the home of Eadweard Muybridge, the pioneering photographer. Hence the festival’s opening night film is Kyle Rideout’s Eadweard (2015), the psychological drama about Muybridge starring Michael Eklund (Watchmen), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), Christopher Heyerdahl (True Blood), Charlie Carrick (The Borgias) and Torrance Combs (The Tudors).

As well as film screenings there will be free public and community events, industry events and workshops, live performances from BalletBoyz, a masterclass from performance artist Oreet Ashery, a dancescreen competition and a closing night awards ceremony.
