Lost in Translation Circus, resident company of Norwich based Oak Circus Centre, is offering live, interactive circus skills classes via Zoom.

Covering everything from handstands to hula-hoop and juggling, each skill will be taught by a professional from the team aimed at children from 6 years old, young people and over-16s.

Classes start with a warm-up and conditioning exercises for flexibility and alignment and most lessons can be completed without special equipment, though a carpeted (or grassy) space and some cushions are recommended with a few wooden spoons or rolled-up socks on hand for juggling practice.

There are plans to run equipment-making classes in the future, but in the meantime, the Oak is hoping to have an equipment lending library to provide sanitised, specialist items such as hula-hoops.

Sessions, which will start at the end of the month, cost £5 each with discounts for multiple bookings and are bookable via the Oak Circus Centre web site.
