Children of all ages to see panto in hospices and care centres

Bracknell based South Hill Park Arts Centre received a grant earlier this year from the National Lottery through Arts Council England to expand the work of its Digital Media Centre and set up a three year initiative, SHP Live.

The programme enables South Hill Park to live stream its Christmas show so that on 13 December Jack and the Beanstalk can be seen live by residents, visitors and staff at hospices, hospitals and care homes far and wide, many of whom might otherwise not get to enjoy a panto this year.

Multiple cameras will capture the performance which will be broadcast via the Internet and the experience will be similar to viewing a television programme on line.

SHP Live will follow up this, its second initiative, with other projects including Embedded, a series of late night concerts.
