Lesley signs up for Birmingham Hippodrome’s Snow White

Lesley Joseph will play the Wicked Queen in Birmingham Hippodrome’s 2019 panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Joseph, currently taking the role of Jessie in Tim Firth and Gary Barlow’s Calendar Girls the Musical, will appear in Snow White alongside Matt Slack as Muddles who will return to the Hippodrome for the seventh successive year.

Joe McElderry will be The Spirit in the Mirror while Faye Brookes, best known as Kate Connor on Coronation Street, takes the title role.

One of the Hippodrome’s favourite dames, Andrew Ryan, will mark his 33rd panto, his 29th year as dame and his third in Birmingham.

Street dance troupe Flawless appear as the Wicked Queen's Men while Doreen Tipton will be The Lady in Waiting.

The cast is completed by Josh Bennett, George Coppen, Simeon Dyer, Craig Garner, Lee Hill, Jamie John and Blake Lisle who play the Magnificent Seven.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be produced by Qdos Entertainment. Managing director Michael Harrison who directs said, “without a doubt this is going to be one of the biggest pantomime line-ups in Hippodrome history.

“Not only do we have an array of fantastic comic actors, brilliant singers and jaw-dropping dancers—we're also bringing the complete physical production to Birmingham direct from the London Palladium along with an array of special effects and magic that’ll have audiences amazed.”

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will run at Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 21 December until Sunday 2 February 2020.
