The Space is Locked Down, Looking Up

The Space has received funding from Arts Council England for a programme of events during the lockdown.

New plays from each of ten playwrights will receive an online reading during Locked Down, Looking Up whilst three companies that were due to perform in the space will now perform online versions of their shows.

The venue is also to commission eight duologues for live streamed performance on 31 July and 1 August and recorded for later viewing.

Other activities include thirty workshops, the Space Theatre Club and ScriptSpace Book Club, all online.

Space Theatre Club starts with a discussion of A Streetcar Named Desire staring Gillian Anderson, Ben Foster and Vanessa Kirby on 27 May, available for viewing from 21 May.

ScriptSpace reads The Door by Sam Essame on 29 May.
