Union Theatre and Phil Willmott Company to present three works

The UK professional première of Bertolt Brecht's darkly comic Fear And Misery of the Third Reich is the first of three plays to be presented in a three-work association between London's Union Theatre and the Phil Willmott Company.

Translated by John Willett Fear And Misery of the Third Reich will be directed by Phil Willmott who will also take a role alongside Jeryl Burgess, Harriet Grenville, Christopher Laishley, Tom Williams, Mark Desmond, Joshua Ruhle, Tori Louis, Clara Francis, Ben Kerfoot and Feliks Mathur.

The first revival of Road Show in the UK follows, again directed by Phil Willmott, with musical direction by Richard Baker and choreography by Thomas Michael Voss.

This work has music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by John Weidman and follows the lives of brothers Addison and Wilson Meisner; their story is punctuated with milestones of modern American history as they make their way in the world at the turn of the 20th century.

Howard Jenkins will play Addison and Andre Refig will play Wilson; they will be joined on stage by Steve Watts, Cathryn Sherman and Joshua LeClaire.

Cameron Hay, Amy Perry, Amy Reitsma Phil Sealey, Laura Jade Clark, Damian Robinson, Sam Sugarman, Alexander McMoran, Jonny Rust and Christina Thornton complete the cast.

Finally Queen Lear returns to the Union having played the venue in 2014.

Adapted and directed by Phil Willmott from Shakespeare's King Lear, Ursula Mohan will play the title role.

All three works in the season are produced by Union Theatre artistic director Sasha Regan.
