Matthew Bourne's Lord of The Flies

Devised and directed by Olivier and Tony award winner Matthew Bourne, choreographed by Olivier-nominated Scott Ambler, and featuring set and costume design by Olivier Award-winner Lez Brotherston, music by Terry Davies, lighting design by Chris Davey and sound design by Paul Groothuis, a new production of Lord Of The Flies, based on the novel by William Golding, will open at The Lowry, Salford on 2 April 2014.

The action is transferred from deserted island to deserted theatre. A group of schoolboys find themselves abandoned. With no adults around they start to make their own rules and create their own civilisation before order breaks down.

Re:Bourne is the charitable arm of Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures. Founded in 2008, the charity delivers projects, training, courses and productions to find, develop and inspire the next generation of dance-theatre professionals.
