Mayfest 2016 this year features more than 30 shows in venues across Bristol.

Celebrating local, national and international contemporary theatre, Mayfest is a cross–genre event showcasing finished productions and works in progress.

Amongst the highlights are the world première of Selina Thompson’s salt, the UK premières of Irish companies Dead Centre’s Chekhov’s First Play and brokentalkers and Junk Ensemble's It Folds.

Amongst the work-in-progress performances will be work by Sh!t Theatre and Jamal Harewood.

Providing interviews, debate, specially commissioned audio work and features for the whole of the festival is Mayfest Radio, returning for the third year.
