The Gate's production of Medea will now play until 5 December.
In making the announcement, the venue's artistic director, Christopher Haydon, said, “demand for tickets to see this wonderful new approach to the classic Greek tragedy has been deservedly enormous, so I’m delighted to give London audiences more opportunities to see it.
"Anne-Louise Sarks is one of the most significant new talents in Australian theatre-making and she’s created a playful yet chilling world for the Gate’s stage.”
The Gate presents Medea in association with Belvoir, Sydney whose Anne-Louise Sarks co–wrote the play after Euripides with award-winning playwright and screenwriter Kate Mulvany. Sarks also directs.
