Mimetic 2014

Mimetic 2014 has announced its Festival programme.

The programme for this year’s festival, which takes place in The Vaults beneath Waterloo Station, promises no fewer than forty acts. They include brand new work and shows already favourites at the Edinburgh Fringe and elsewhere in a mixture of cabaret and what claims to be cutting-edge theatre.

Now in its third year, there will be companies home-grown and international that range from naked stand up and puppetry to drag acts, ukuleles to wine, cheese and olives.

Highlights are set to include Antler Theatre’s Where the White Stops (Ideastap Underbelly Award Winner 2013); Kill The Beast’s The Boy Who Kicked Pigs (Time Out Critic’s Choice); new work-in-progress from award-winning puppet companies Sparkle and Dark and Flabbergast Theatre while “bad boys” Boris and Sergey offer new puppet improve.

Cabaret performers will include The Rubyyy Jones (recently featured on The Drag Queens of London, London Live), Neil Henry (whose show sold out in Edinburgh) and Mimetic bursary-winner Michael Twaits with the latest cabaret theatre extravaganza.

The Festival runs from Tuesday 18 to Saturday 29 November 2014 at The Vaults, Leake Street, London SE1 7NN.
