Encompass Productions' Bare E-ssentials

London based Encompass Productions defy the tech gremlins to present the second Bare E-ssentials series of fresh-off-the printer new writing.

The company offers an hourlong set of stripped-back, short pieces from established and emerging playwrights performed live, available for viewing on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and the Encompass web site.

On 24 June at 8PM BST, the shows are

  • Every Seven Minutes by Ken Preuss
  • Spread by Robbie Knox
  • Spud by Robert Wallis
  • Like A House On Fire by Keith Gow

Bare E-ssentials is the online interpretation of the company's programme of presenting new writing selected from submissions sent in by playwrights from around the globe.

Writers who would like to submit work for consideration for Bare E-ssentials can send in up to three short scripts of any genre or format including monologues, sketches and extracts from longer pieces.

They do not have to be written for online presentation but it should be possible to adapt them for this medium. Writing comes first so pieces with limited props, set and costumes and no technological wizardry are preferred.

Bare E-ssentials is a pay-what-you-can event.
