Molly Lynch has been cast as Eliza Doolittle in Leicester Curve’s Christmas 2024 production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s musical My Fair Lady.

Lynch returns to Curve after appearing as Betty Schaefer in Curve’s Sunset Boulevard in 2017. She also played Cathy in Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years at the Garrick Theatre in 2021.

Curve’s chief executive Chris Stafford and artistic director Nikolai Foster said, “in Molly Lynch we have an Eliza with a magnificent and mighty voice to inhabit these great songs afresh, a flair and wit to offer new insights into this incredible character and the comic brio to illuminate our My Fair Lady in the 21st century. We’re thrilled Molly is returning to Curve and can’t wait for our festive audiences to delight in her intoxicating Eliza which will guarantee we all dance all night this Christmas.”

The full cast will be announced later. Foster will direct. The creative team will include Joanna Goodwin (choreographer), George Dyer (musical supervisor), Michael Taylor (set and costume designer), Mark Henderson (lighting designer), Adam Fisher (sound designer) and Olivia Laydon (casting director).

My Fair Lady will run at Curve from Saturday 23 November until Saturday 4 January 2025.
