Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s novel The Woman in Black has terrified more than 64,400 theatregoers in seven visits to The Lowry. With an eighth visit planned from March 20 to 25 the terror total is set to rise.
Hill’s story, of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family, begins innocently enough. But the borders between make believe and reality begin to blur.
The UK tour runs concurrently with the West End production.
