Most Free

Most Free is Ellen Hathaway Dance Company's first feature-length dance documentary, to be released on 2 April 2021, created over the past 10 months to investigate "how a community can integrate and connect with the foundations of understanding and compassion even through a pandemic".

This 45-minute documentary, commissioned by Dance City and Arts Council England, follows Artistic Director Ellen Hathaway on her investigation into dance and community with interviews from a resettled Syrian family living in Blackpool, Lancashire’s Refugee Integration Officer, local and international dance artists and the general public.

Ellen Hathaway Dance Company is an emerging contemporary dance company based in the North East working with local communities, refugees and asylum seekers and local and international collaborators to produce community dance projects and professional performances.
