Winners of the Award will play the Pleasance Theatre Islington

Applications are invited for the seventh National Student Drama Festival Award, which is offered in association with IdeasTap and the Pleasance Theatre.

A single outstanding new production from this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe will receive an expenses-paid run at the Pleasance Theatre Islington and a share of the box office, as well as £500. The team behind the show will also participate in filmed workshops with the RSC and get free entry to the 2014 National Student Drama Festival.

Fifteen other shows shortlisted by a panel of judges will get feedback from one of the panel and a review published on IdeasTap.

Eligible productions will be new writing, new devised theatre, a new adaptation or an innovative reworking of a film or a play and must run for all three weeks of the Edinburgh Fringe.
