Debbie Isitt’s production NATIVITY! The Musical which had its world première at Birmingham REP in 2017 will return to its home stage for the 2022–23 Christmas season.

NATIVITY! The Musical features the fictional St Bernadette’s School where every child has one Christmas wish: to star in a nativity. Teacher Mr Maddens and his assistant Mr Poppy decide to stage a musical version.

The REP’s artistic director Sean Foley said, “we’re especially delighted to welcome back Debbie Isitt’s spectacular and heart-warming hit show to her home city of Birmingham. Christmas is a special time for families to come together and NATIVITY! The Musical provides the perfect theatre treat for all ages.”

NATIVITY! The Musical will run at the REP from Saturday 19 November until Saturday 7 January 2023. The production was due to be staged at Christmas 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.
