Murder comes to Wombledon in the latest comedy whodunnit by New Old Friends, Crimes on Centre Court, a series of ten 15-minute episodes which will be released on weekdays on all major podcast platforms.
An international cast of characters played by New Old Friends founders Heather Westwell and Feargus Woods Dunlop should “ensure plenty of laughs and leads to explore as the case twists and turns its way to conclusion”.
Crimes on Centre Court involves Penny and Perry Pink of the P Pink Detective Agency being hired by Lord Knows to investigate the death of his father at Wombledon Tennis Club. The police do not think the death of a nonagenarian alcoholic with health issues is suspicious—but young Lord Hugh thinks otherwise.
Westwell said, “we’re so excited to be doing another comedy whodunnit this summer. We’re having a lot of fun recording it. This time we’ve even got a silly barbershop quartet on board helping us tell the story.”
Crimes on Centre Court will be released from Monday 31 May until Friday 11 June.
Meanwhile, New Old Friends’ Crimes in Egypt, formerly called Crimes on the Nile, will return to the stage for a national tour in autumn 2021.
