Suffolk's HighTide Festival Theatre is to have a new Executive Director from July in Holly Kendrick.
Ms Kendrick will take up her new position, in which she will act as Joint CEO with Artistic Director Steven Atkinson, following this year's International Student Drama Festival, an initiative she has led since 2006.
A producer of fourteen years, Ms Kendrick, who currently sits on the boards of the Viviana Durante Company and Sheffield Theatres and chairs curious directive, previously co–founded and led the Caird Company and worked in the touring department of the National Theatre.
HighTide Festival Theatre recently announced the line up for this year's HighTide Festival, the sixth, which will run from 3 to 13 May and include eighteen World and European premiere productions.
The Festival is now in receipt of core funding having achieved National Portfolio Organisation status from Arts Council England and this is reflected in the breadth of material on offer in 2012. Across the eighteen pieces there will be works in full production and in progress stages which will include promenade performances and audio headset productions. There will also be a mid-week symposium on the state of new writing, talks with Festival contributors and other theatre practitioners plus readings of new short plays over a light brunch.
