Digital Theatre Plus, an adjunct to Digital Theatre which records the work of leading theatre companies for high quality viewing on onscreen, has launched a new learning resource for students of drama and English from primary school to university.

The initiative currently has an international reach with over half a million students benefiting from its online subscription which diminishes the costs, and the practical and geographical barriers with which students and teachers often have to contend.

In addition to the productions available for viewing, the web site provides interviews with leading theatre practitioners on their work, documentaries and post show talks, detailed study guides and practical theatre techniques that can be used in the classroom to enhance learning and help students makes a connection between their work and theatre productions.

Digital Theatre Plus Creative Producer Fiona Lindsay said, “Digital Theatre Plus is unique in that it offers a high-quality online theatre experience to young people all over the world, many of whom don't have the experience of live theatre whilst in formal education.

"The new Digital Theatre Plus web site engages, excites and educates, helping students gain confidence, be more articulate and develop the ability to form opinions; all of which aid their learning across the curriculum.”
