The National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) is to be the official Panto Day 2014 partner.

This year's Panto Day will take place on 12 December.

Panto Day celebrates the UK's most beloved artform—growing every year since its inception in 2011, last year saw 2 million Twitter users and over 150 theatres participate in the fun. The partnering with NODA will create the biggest celebrations to date.

A national survey of amateur pantomime will run alongside the National Database of Pantomime Performance's yearly statistics, providing a new and valuable comparison between the amateur and professional sectors.

Founder and co-ordinator of Panto Day, Simon Sladen said: "This is set to be an exciting year for Panto Day as we team up with NODA to embrace pantomime across the UK in its many forms.

"The heart of a community at Christmas, pantomime brings people together and we can't wait to hear from NODA's members and learn more about the myriad of practices occurring in halls, schools and theatres each festive season."

The online questionnaire for amateur companies will be on the Panto Day web site.
