A multitude of performances are programmed for both outside and indoors for this year’s Norfolk & Norwich Festival which takes place from 8 to 24 May.

Amongst the Festival commissions are the site-specific Wolf’s Child from WildWorks, What Will Have Been from contemporary circus companies Circa, incendiary, high-octane outdoor performance based on Ray Bradbury’s sci-fi classic Fahrenheit 451 and choral promenade performance The Observatory from The Voice Project.

Other premières include X TNT’s Dedriving Code, Willi Dorner’s gravity defying Fitting and the stage adaptation of Eimear McBride’s multi award winning novel A Girl Is A Half-formed Thing.

A number of touring shows are set to play the Festival including Kim Noble’s You’re Not Alone, Luke Wright’s Stay-at–Home Dandy and Barely Methodical’s Bromance.

Artistic Director William Galinsky said, “the Festival is about groundbreaking new work and this year sees more originally commissioned work and premières than ever before. We’re excited to have artists from different disciplines coming into the county who are exploring the dramatic Norfolk landscape and the medieval beauty of Norwich—one of the UK’s most creative cities—and creating spectacularly impressive work.”

The Festival also features a programme of art and music.
