Kenneth Alan Taylor in A Different Way Home at Oldham Coliseum

The Jersey Boys are working their way back to Manchester Palace Theatre, with the return of the musical dedicated to the story of The Four Seasons. It runs from next Tuesday to February 16 as part of its second UK tour.

After the success of The Wipers Times, Private Eye editor and TV panellist Ian Hislop and Nick Newman have taken inspiration from real life events again for their new play Trial by Laughter, which comes to The Lowry from Tuesday until February 2.

Composer, vocalist, artistic director and Manchester Camerata collaborator Laura Bowler travelled to the Antarctic last January and brings the experience to Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall next Wednesday with a work of orchestral music theatre.
