Cannibals at the Royal Exchange

One of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, Cats, returns to the Opera House in Manchester.

The cast features Joanna Ampil (Miss Saigon) as Grizabella, Oliver Savile (Les Misérables, Mamma Mia, Monkee Business) as Rum Tum Tugger, Nicholas Pound as Old Deuteronomy, Ben Palmer as Munkustrap, Melissa James as Bombalurina and Joseph Poulton as Mistoffelees.

The international ice dance sensation that is The Imperial Ice Stars returns to The Lowry in Salford for a performance of The Sleeping Beauty ballet quite unlike any you have seen before.

There are two shows a day, most days, from Wednesday to Sunday.

Another young director, Michael Longhurst, heads Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre’s world première of Rory Mullarkey’s bold new play Cannibals which runs from Wednesday to April 27.

The play tackles big themes of love, death and consumerism in the 21st century.

Manchester-based comedy duo LipService bring their knitted saga Inspector Norse, to The Lowry in Salford from Wednesday to Saturday.

Award-winning Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding have created their own self-assembly Swedish crime thriller.

Around 100 young, aspiring ballet dancers from around the region take to the stage of Preston’s Charter Theatre next Friday and Saturday for the opportunity of a lifetime. They will be appearing alongside the professional dancers of the English Youth Ballet in a brand new production of the timeless dance classic Swan Lake.

Young performers will be dancing along the yellow brick road to North Pier Theatre from this Easter weekend.

A brand new professional production of The Wizard Of Oz is heading to Blackpool’s pier-end venue with a professional cast including Big Brother’s Grace Adams-Short.
