Direct from his Olivier Award-nominated performance as Emcee, singer-songwriter Will Young reprises the role in Rufus Norris's acclaimed production of Cabaret when it returns to the region next week.

Following a successful West End run, the UK tour will be at the Opera House Manchester from Monday to Saturday.

I Wish I had a Moustache is the debut solo theatre piece of poet, actress, feminist and musician Keisha Thompson. The show explores beauty, gender anxieties and the taboo of body hair.

It was born during Contact’s 2012 Flying Solo Festival and returns to the Manchester venue September 10-12.

Tracy Star is a Bowie fan hoping to escape the mediocrity of 1980s Manchester by emulating her hero in The Rise & Fall of a Northern Star.

This one-woman show, at the King's Arms in Salford from September 6-13 offers a blend of comedy and tragedy interspersed with original music.

The Moscow State Circus brings its brand new show to Manchester’s Heaton Park from September 11 to 15 and then Tatton Park near Knutsford from September 17-22.

Set in an authentic big top, one of the most famous circuses is hosted by superstar clowns Splendid Pavlik and Klava.

Murder, mayhem and music are coming to Oldham as the Coliseum Theatre is set to stage a new and original version of the classic musical Chicago.

The theatre has been granted the first rights to produce a new take on the famous story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly. The revival will be the first of its kind since 1997’s West End run.
