Greater Manchester Fringe has opened and runs until July 31. Richard Patterson, who played George Best in an award-winning Fringe production The Best, is back in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me by Frank McGuinness at Joshua Brooks July 8-11.
Pirates are due to over-run leafy Lytham tonight, when Lytham Hall sees a staging of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance. It’s the second show in the open air season at the venue.
The Lowry in Salford is one of only three UK venues, and the only one in the north west, to stage Show Boat from Cape Town Opera. It runs from Tuesday to Saturday with Thursday and Saturday matinées.
