First Friday, Lancaster’s monthly mini-festival of the arts, returns with a full day of music, visual arts, poetry, storytelling and film.

Musical theatre’s record-breaking show Wicked flies into Salford for four weeks from Wednesday, its final dates of the current UK and Ireland tour.

Award-winning singer and platinum-selling artist Mica Paris will star as Sylvia in the UK and Ireland tour of Love Me Tender—the new musical inspired by and featuring the music of Elvis Presley that opens at Manchester Opera House.

Leave em laughing is an old showbiz maxim, and theatre director David Thacker aims to do just that. Concluding the Octagon Theatre’s current season of plays will be Noises Off, the outrageously funny farce that reveals the backstage shenanigans of a theatre company in the throes of ‘putting on a show’.

Troublehouse Theatre reprises its newest production RAW at the Joshua Brooks pub in Manchester.

From the Cradle to The Bin is a comedy about being thrown on life’s scrapheap. Theatre company Ship of Fools brings it to The Met in Bury next Thursday.
