A Live Theatre production, Patrick Marber’s The Red Lion, which transferred to London’s Trafalgar Studios last year, has been nominated for an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre.

Marber’s play, which was adapted by the author for a North East production, was directed by Max Roberts and starred Stephen Tompkinson, John Bowler and Dean Bone.

The winners will be announced at the Olivier Awards ceremony at The Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8 April.

Live's co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland of Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour by Lee Hall was nominated for two Oliver Awards last year, winning Best New Comedy.
